Totalo scans paper receipts and keeps a monthly ledger of what you spent, entirely on your iPhone.
The scan read the wrong total or date. Every field is editable on the review screen before you save, and later from the receipt’s detail screen (⋯ → Edit). Receipts printed on faded thermal paper are the hardest to read; a flat, well-lit photo helps.
Where are my receipts stored? On your iPhone only, and in its backups. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account to create and no password to lose.
How many scans do I get? The free version allows 15 scans per calendar month. Totalo Pro, a one-time purchase, removes the limit and the ads, and adds CSV/PDF export and custom categories.
I bought Pro on another iPhone. Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account.
Can I export my expenses? With Totalo Pro: Settings → Export gives a CSV of every receipt (opens in Numbers, Excel, Google Sheets) and a PDF statement for one month.
Which languages? The app and the recognition work in French, Arabic and English. Change the app’s language in Settings → Language.
Which currency? Dirhams by default; any ISO currency in Settings → Currency. Each receipt keeps the currency it was saved in.
Why does the app ask to track? The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. The prompt lets you choose personalized or non-personalized ads; the app works the same either way, and Pro shows no ads at all.
How do I delete everything? Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app.
